The department of Chemistry had established in 1965 for U.G. programme. Following distinguished faculty members had contributed the department a lot of things and developed the department to an excellent level. Prof.( Dr.) Kedarnath Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Ramadhar Singh, Dr. C. N. Roy, Dr. Mohan Prasad , Dr. Upendra Prasad Verma. At present Dr. Shashi Kumar and Dr. Sachin Prakash are working in the department and doing their best to develop the students and laboratory as well. The department has two well equipped laboratories having capacity of 50 & 25 students respectively. A water analysis laboratory is also functioning in the department which performs tests of different parameters of portable water of different places. Furthermore, there are some activities in the department to save the plants.
